Galkot Information and Communication Cooperative Limited, registered on 27th Baishakh 2067, aims to support Galkot's development through information and communication. The cooperative began operating savings and loan programs from 3rd Ashad 2067 and has been focusing on communication as its main goal....
Since 2nd Falgun 2067, it has been publishing the Galkotpatra Weekly, and from 14th Shrawan 2068, it launched Galkot FM 102 MHz community radio. The radio's power was initially 100 watts, now upgraded to 500 watts. In collaboration with Tarakhola Municipality, a relay station was established in 2078 to expand the broadcast.
The cooperative also operates a digital newspaper at www.galkotfm.com and now has 349 share members. Radio broadcasts are from 5:30 AM to 10:05 PM daily. Click here to know more about us. Our official website is www.galkotfm.com.
